Lend A Hand is our presbytery’s disaster response ministry.
Originally formed in 1989 after Hurricane Hugo (South Carolina), the ministry has served to organize volunteers in Georgia, Iowa, New Jersey, Mississippi, New York, West Virginia, Florida, as well as right here in our own backyard in central Pennsylvania. The state of Iowa recognized their service awarding them the Governor’s Volunteer Award. The volunteer Lend A Hand Board is responsible for the organization’s activities. Jim Davis serves as their volunteer office manager.
