Staff Biographies

The Rev. Dr. Jamie McLeod

The Rev. Dr. Jamie McLeod is the Presbytery of Carlisle Presbytery Leader for Transformation and Vision. Prior to arriving here, Jamie served churches in Kentucky, Alabama, New York, North Carolina, and Missouri. He holds master’s degrees in divinity and theology from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, a Doctor of Philosophy from Garrett-Northwestern University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Clemson University.

He came to Carlisle Presbytery after serving a congregation in Mid-Kentucky Presbytery while also working as an adjunct professor in theology at Bellarmine University and Louisville Seminary. Jamie is married to his best friend, Dr. Lesley Ann Earles, with whom he has three delightful children. He enjoys a range of outdoor activities from golfing and hiking to scuba diving and fishing. He is a collector of bow ties and old vinyl jazz records, enjoys good coffee, and is on a quest to play the perfect game of chess.  

The Rev. Sharon Davy

The Rev. Sharon Davy, the presbytery’s temporary stated clerk, is originally from Kingsport, TN, and grew up going to Waverly Road Presbyterian Church. In 1985 she married her spouse, Jeff Carter; they have two children who are now grown. As members at West Emory PC in Knoxville Sharon and Jeff ran a middle school youth group, which was the beginning of Sharon’s sense of call to ministry. She graduated from Louisville Seminary and was ordained to ministry in 2001 and has served churches large and small in the past 25 years. In her spare time Sharon likes to read, hike, kayak, swim, and paint. She and Jeff and their 3 cats live in Fort Wright, KY, just across the river from Cincinnati, OH.

The Rev. Edward Blank

The Rev. Edward H. Blank is currently serving Middle Spring Presbyterian Church as a Transitional pastor. He also serves as the Presbytery’s Chief Financial Officer and Chief Technology Officer. He served as pastor of the Warfordsburg PC for 12 years and lives in Warfordsburg with his wife, Gilda. They have 3 grown children, 7 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren (and some ducks and chickens!)  Pastor Ed is a second-career pastor and brings with him 30+ years of entrepreneurial experience. Over those years, he has developed a gift for technology, finance, and is a visionary. He loves conceiving ideas and growing them to fruition. He holds an Associate’s degree in Industrial Technology, a Bachelor’s in Bible, and graduated from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary with an MDiv..

 

Carolyn Simpson

Carolyn Simpson is the Presbytery of Carlisle’s Communications Director. She has more than a decade of experience in communications and public relations.
